Ervin Brown married Parthena Johnson on 30 Jul 1839 in Maury Co., TN and

on 7 Jul 1866 he married her sister Lucy Johnson also in Maury Co., TN.

Ervin and Parthena have three children listed in the 1850 Maury Co. census: Richard 9, William 7 and Thomas 2.

-- Richard was born April 1844 in TN (per 1900 census) and supposedly died 13 Jul 1943.

Richard married Sarah Lamiza Ragin on 16 Jul 1861 in Maury Co., TN and her sister,

Elizabeth Ragin on 1 Sep 1872 also in Maury Co., TN.

-- William (Bob) was born 10 May 1844 Maury Co., TN; d. Cleburne, Johnson Co., TX.

William had 13 children. All but the oldest son Jim left Maury Co., TN in the 1890s. They lived in Obion Co., TN for a few years, and then moved to Texas, most of them finally settling near Cleburne, TX.
