My mother was Katella Brown who is a direct descendant of David Brown (born ca 1750) of Washington County, Tennessee and believed to have earlier been from Rowan County, North Carolina, however that is not proven at this point.
My mother is descended from David Brown through his son Thomas G. Brown, who had a son named Woodson F. Brown, who had a son named Ephriam K. Brown, who had a son named James O. Brown who was the father of my mother.

My mother had one brother James M. Brown who is now deceased but his son John Brown, my first cousin has agreed to take the DNA test
