I have been researching my Brown line off and on since 1996 and can not get past John Roark Brown from NC/SC who fought in the war of 1812. He and family lived in Tenn. for several years then were found in Ill. for a short period of time. My g-grandfather Wesley Wayman Brown was born in Ill. May 19, 1850 and d. Jan, 27, 1929 Madison County, Arkansas, son of Lewis Lightner Brown and Julie Ann. I am sure about my research up to that point. There are land patents, family records, census, etc. Most of my family, including myself were born in Carroll County, Madison County, Washington County Arkansas. I would love to have contact with any researchers that might be connected to my Brown line.
